When Barefoot first started, I met many people who, on paper, seemingly had the perfect life but were struggling to cope with their current lifestyles. These people were experiencing growing agitation, sadness and fatigue, all while trying to juggle children, partners, work and home.

My first retreat was conceived from an idea that I had held for over eight months. Deciding to take the plunge and make my idea a reality, I booked a large tipi and bell tent in Wales in October 2006 and Barefoot’s very first retreat was held in May 2007. It’s success led me to hold many more retreats over the following years.

Each person that enters Barefoot’s retreats will come for different reasons. I provide a process that is unique. We laugh, we cry, we dance and we eat together. We eat wholesome food, have treatments, cook on open fires and sleep among nature. Many people on my retreats form life long friends as they embark on a journey of self-discovery together.
